Your Yin Teacher, Jenny Warburton, is a passionate exponent of Yin Yoga! Jenny will be leading you through an infusion of Yin yoga postures to keep you balanced; and to boost your energy as we transition into the Autumn months ahead.

Her trainings with Sarah Powers; and with Karin Sang & Markus Geiss, will give us the opportunity to learn from the Insight Yoga Institute of Sarah & Ty Powers, as well as the Yin Yoga School of Paul Grilley with an emphasis on the meridians and chi energy for a Late Summer Yin Yoga practise.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), each season corresponds to different organs and their meridians — the subtle energy channels through which chi, prana and Life Force flows.

Summer belongs to the Earth element - Mother Earth - when Earths fruits and vegetables ripen for harvest. Earth is a point of stillness in the cycle of seasons. The Earth season is a good time for inner healing, to relax, slow down and re-ground as we transition from the active Yang energy of the Spring and Summer seasons, to the Yin energy of the Autumn season.

Earth is represented by the organs of the Stomach and Spleen. These organs build and maintain the entire body! Food is prepared for adsorption by the Stomach; and Spleen filters the nutrients, feeding muscle and blood.

In Chinese Medicine, the Spleen is known as the ‘Official of Transportation and Distribution’. The primary function of the Spleen is converting food into energy; and it is the transporter of Chi, Life Force. Working together, Stomach and Spleen are also responsible for processing stimulus and information - everything that comes into the body through our sense organs - making this pair of organs indeed very important!

Taking care of our Earth, in this Yin immersion, we will boost and strengthen our energy so that our organs work efficiently; and on a mental and emotional level we will nurture ourselves, create stability, grounding - a sense of self-worth / belonging so that we are able to complete projects and fulfill needs, contentment and have a good appetite for Life.

Value your yin qualities and come along and join Jenny for some late Summer healing; ultimately growing your health and wellbeing; experience this profound therapeutic practise and feel immediate results of harmonising the body, mind and soul! No prior yoga experience necessary, all levels including beginners, welcome.
